Redefining Family in America

Nov 3, 2022

Children need mothers and fathers. Without intact marriages, they “are at greater risk for a large number of serious personal and social problems.” Numerous studies show that children do not fare well when they lack a father or a mother.

To make this even worse, the U.S. Senate will vote on the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act this month, which will weaponize every federal agency.

HR 8404 will not only federalize same-sex marriage, but it also will force states to recognize the worst marriage laws of other states (like child bride marriage), will open the door to polygamy and much more.

Rush your urgent faxes to every senator you can to block HR 8404. A handful of at least four Republicans are already supporting this bill, and Democrats just need a few more votes to pass it. — Your Faith & Liberty team

Global studies confirm that children fare best when raised by a mother and a father. But HR 8404 would establish a national policy that a dual-gender, mother-and-father parent model is irrelevant to the well-being of children.

Listen to the painful story of Kyneret Hope.

“I experienced [lesbian] separatism as a constant level of anger and negativity,” Kyneret shared. “That was part of the lifestyle I knew, there was always a downside: men were called mutants, straight women were considered disowned sisters who wasted women-energy on men, and other lesbians were sometimes accused of being government spies sent to infiltrate and undermine the community. Anyone who was not like us was evil, and I had to be careful not to cross over to the enemy’s camp.”

This kind of training, brainwashing really, is difficult if not impossible for a child to overcome and move past into healthy relationships of their own.

Michael, a 27-year-old male, said: “Lesbians should not fill their children with their own fears and hatreds. I say this after considering the causes of needless pain in my past, and my troubles understanding the present … I do recall wishing our mothers were more attentive to us than each other. We kids would get together and have sex, males or females, in any combinations … Until I was sixteen or so, I was sexually abused by many straight [heterosexual pedophile] men, ‘friends’ of my mothers’, whom I was occasionally left with. I wondered what was going on in this planet? The end result of all this abuse is that today I don’t trust people … Lesbians who hate or fear men take this out on boy children. I suspect the same thing might happen with gay fathers and girl children.”

We cannot allow Congress to enable this type of intrinsically permanent abuse of children. This bill already passed the House, and now we MUST stop it in the Senate. Rush urgent faxes to the Senate against HR 8404.

Marriage is the foundation upon which our entire society rests. “Marriage is the fundamental, cross-cultural institution for bridging the male and female divide so that children have loving, committed mothers and fathers. Marriage is inherently normative: it is about holding out a certain kind of relationship as a social ideal, especially when there are children involved,” said author and marriage expert Maggie Gallagher.

In contrast, a well-known homosexual activist admitted he was working to “redefine the institution of marriage completely, to demand the right to marry not as a way of adhering to society's moral codes but rather to debunk a myth and radically alter an archaic institution.” He further says that same-sex marriage provides him “a chance to wholly transform the definition of family in American culture.”

It is clear what is at stake right now. What is unclear is how the Senate will vote.

The vote on HR 8404 will be very close. STOP this bill from becoming law. We’re asking you to act now by faxing the Senate to oppose this outrageous bill and protect innocent children.

If passed, HR 8404 will be nearly impossible to repeal.

Not only does Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) desperately want to pass this bill, he also wants to do it this month. He has cleared way for this bill to bypass the committees and go straight to a vote on the Senate floor. We must be vigilant and vocal!

All 50 Democratic senators support HR 8404. We count at least four Republican senators in favor as well. Only six more votes are necessary to pass this bill. The senators are being pressured by multinational corporations.

If the Senate lacks the 60 votes needed, some Democratic leaders are calling to abolish the filibuster rule. That can be done with 51 votes. Kamala Harris said she welcomes the opportunity to break the tie and abolish the filibuster. The result would be disastrous.

Tell senators to STOP HR 8404 and preserve the filibuster!
