Pastors from across the Washington, D.C., area gathered at the Ministry Center for a pastors' breakfast sponsored by Love Life, a pro-life ministry, and hosted by Faith & Liberty. They came from several different church backgrounds and denominations, so it was a joy to see them stand and pray for our nation, for our freedom, and for life.

"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!" (Ps. 133:1)
We teamed up with Love Life for this breakfast, which also brings to mind our upcoming preborn memorial. We have started planning it for January, so your prayers are appreciated as we remember both Roe and Dobbs and the impact these Supreme Court cases had on our nation.
In the meantime, we are in the middle of the 37th annual U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon, on which we partner with Seedline International. We are assisting at the volunteer table, reading, and praying at the event.
Just before the first reader started in Genesis 1, Patty Bills led the participants to the four corners of the area at the Capitol where the Bible Reading Marathon takes place. The Faith & Liberty team led a prayer at one of the four corners, setting apart this time to publicly read God's Word over our nation and the seat of government.

This Marathon goes nonstop for 90 hours of reading from Genesis to Revelation! While we believe it is important to do this, as we see it done in Scripture, we also encourage those working on the Hill to stop by to listen and honor the Word of God as it is read.
Finally, Nov. 1 ends the 52 days of prayer and fasting that believers across the nation have participated in, as led by the Nehemiah Alliance. We've been involved in this time of preparation and prayer, and we'll join the Sacred Assembly this Saturday as Christians, including many ministry leaders, convene on the National Mall. We can't wait to report next week all that God did as we, once again, gather in a spirit of unity!
Thank you for standing with us, whether near or far, as we join with our brothers and sisters in Christ and bear a public, prophetic witness on Capitol Hill.

YOUR GENEROSITY MAKES ALL THIS POSSIBLE!
- Honoring God’s Word: The U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon outside the Capitol Building is being held 24 hours a day nonstop through Wednesday, Oct. 28. Faith & Liberty is also helping take Bible Reading Marathon participants on a tour of the Capitol.
- Rebuilding the walls: We are participating in Nehemiah Alliance’s 52 days of unified prayer, fasting, and repentance for our nation. It will end Nov. 1, and a Sacred Assembly will be held on the National Mall on Saturday, Oct. 31. The Faith & Liberty team will lend a hand at a Friday dinner and will share a prayer during the all-day event on Saturday.
- Studying the Word: Our Bible studies at the Ministry Center continue with thoughtful discussion as we understand and apply God’s Word to life on Capitol Hill. King’s Church also held another Equip class at the Ministry Center on how to live out the Christian faith while working in government, and we joined in the virtual Senate Chaplain’s Bible Study with Chaplain Barry C. Black.
- Celebrating life: As noted above, we hosted a pastors’ breakfast with the Love Life organization at the Ministry Center. Love Life is a ministry that seeks to end abortion and the orphan crisis, so we count it a blessing to partner with them to reach pastors and churches.
- Meeting faith leaders: Faith & Liberty’s Patty Bills and Lindsey Cruz will attend the National Clergy Council event on Nov. 4. More than 60 pastors from across the country will come for this gathering. It’s a special evening and we’ll share why later!
- Mentoring meet-ups: We thoroughly enjoy meeting with and mentoring young people here on Capitol Hill. We value your prayers for these important one-on-one conversations and prayer times.
- Honoring Christian women: Planning is in full swing as we continue coordinating details for the Congressional Women’s Appreciation Prayer Breakfast and the She Leads Willard Tea in mid-November.
- Presenting the Christmas story: We are looking forward to our annual Live Nativity to be held Thursday, Dec. 3. Pray for the final permit to be granted and for all the details to fall into place! We praise the Lord that everything is coming together, thanks to planning and prayer!
