Redigging the wells: At the end of last week, we participated in a special time of prayer and fasting with Christian leaders from around the world. This event was called “Redigging the Wells of Revival,” and it was touching to have believers from outside the U.S. pray wholeheartedly for revival in America.

Rebuilding the walls: The Nehemiah Alliance’s 52 days of unified prayer, fasting, and repentance has begun, and we are participating. This season of focused prayer is an opportunity to seek the Lord for our nation, our leaders, and spiritual renewal in our nation's capital.

Studying the Word: We kicked off last week with a Bible study followed by an ice cream social and had another evening Bible study later in the week. Pray that our Bible studies will be effective in leading those who serve on Capitol Hill to fully submit their lives to the Lord — and, thankfully, many are already committed Christians!

Hosting women’s groups: This weekend will be full as a women’s church group visits the Ministry Center to learn more about Faith & Liberty. We’ll also be leading them in prayer walks, a Capitol tour, and a time of prayer in front of the Supreme Court, as well as a meeting with House Chaplain Margaret Kibben. In addition, we’ll welcome another women’s ministry to the Ministry Center this weekend for a time of prayer and worship.

Handling controversy: Faith & Liberty’s Patty Bills participated in Chaplain Kibben’s Zoom meeting of ministry leaders this past week. The meeting addressed an important topic, how to deal with partisan bickering between Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill as we minister to members of Congress, their staffers, and interns.

Mentoring meet-ups: We thoroughly enjoy meeting with and mentoring young people here on Capitol Hill. We value your prayers for these important one-on-one conversations and prayer times.

Events abound! We continue our preparation for upcoming events, including the 24-hour Bible Reading Marathon outside the Capitol in October, the Consecration of the Courts’ private communion event, a pastors’ breakfast with Love Life Ministries, and much more. Our planning is particularly ramping up for the upcoming Congressional Women’s Appreciation Prayer Breakfast and the She Leads America tea and award ceremony.

Preparing for Christmas! Fall has arrived, and the holidays will soon be here in all of their glory! We are talking to many churches and are working full speed ahead for our Live Nativity. Pray for us as we juggle all the permits and details and look for a praise band to participate in the event.

Hosting Open House Prayer: We had our Open House Prayer in the Cannon House Office Building, where staffers and members of Congress were invited to stop by anytime for prayer.

Praying for the nation: We participated and prayed in the White House weekly prayer call.

America 250: Believers who are committed to praying for our country are invited to come together weekly at our Ministry Center for the America 250 prayer time. We gather to intercede for the nation’s capital and the government leaders called upon to make critical decisions on behalf of the American people.
