Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jul 14, 2026
Yesterday was truly an inspiring day as Faith & Liberty co-hosted with The Rooftop ministry about 20 youth from North Carolina, Tennessee, and New York. We welcomed them and started the day with the Gen Z Rooftop Prayer Encounter — which was a first! It was a powerful time of praising God and interceding for our nation as well as hearing how God is speaking to the hearts of these high school and college students.
Faith & Liberty brings the Word of God to Capitol Hill, ministering to lawmakers and their staff through prayer and worship, Bible studies, fellowship, pastoral care, discipleship, and prophetic witness. Through your active support, Faith & Liberty is standing for faith, freedom, and the family in this 250th year of America’s founding. Would you prayerfully consider giving today to support this vital ministry? We appreciate your prayers and gifts to help the Faith & Liberty team thrive as your missionaries in our nation's capital.
During the two hours of Rooftop Prayer, the students prayed on their own while overlooking the capital, then there was guided prayer and a program. Later, they participated in a Bible study at the Ministry Center, then toured the Capitol. They also had a wonderful opportunity to pray over House Chaplain Margaret Kibben. It was a full day of discipleship, education, and engagement!
Faith & Liberty has always interacted with interns coming to work on Capitol Hill, but this group was even younger, so it was a great opportunity to speak into an up-and-coming generation, many of whom are turning to the Lord and tuning into the revival happening on campuses and in churches across our nation.
We must certainly remember to cover this next generation in prayer against spiritual deception and for the truth of the gospel to prevail despite the cultural onslaught and social media influences. We pray God would use them to speak truth to and through their generation, which is the future of our nation.
We look forward to more interaction with student groups this summer, and we know you will stand with us as we serve in this way. Thank you!

The Faith & Liberty team
While many of you are the bedrock of Faith & Liberty because of your faithful prayers and financial support, others may wish to give today for the first time or give a gift beyond your regular donations. Thank you for considering the impactful ministry of Faith & Liberty in our nation’s capital. Please also ask the Lord if He would have you become one of our vitally important monthly contributors. Sign up for monthly giving on our website using the SUPPORT YOUR MISSIONARIES button below and select the option, “I would like to make this a recurring donation.” If you prefer to call, please ask for Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776, and she will gladly assist you. You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!
Patty Bills enjoyed one-on-one coffee dates with several interns this week. This is a special time of mentoring, encouragement, and prayer.
Our Bible studies continue to grow. A new men’s study was recently added, and the men are going deep into the book of Hebrews. We are also having another summer women’s Bible study.

As noted above, Faith & Liberty co-hosted the first Gen Z Rooftop Prayer Encounter this week and shared with the students what Faith & Liberty does on Capitol Hill. We look forward to further student engagement this summer!

RSVP only: You are invited to an America 250 intercessory prayer time every Saturday at our Ministry Center. Would you like to pray for our nation with others who believe in the power of prayer? If so, please contact Patty Bills at 202-737-1776 for more information and join us.
