Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 23, 2026
June 24, 2022, was a great day for the pro-life movement — the day the Supreme Court of the United States overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade decision of 1973. While some think of the Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization as “tragic,” we celebrate the many lives saved and the families positively affected by Roe’s overturn.
Across the country, Women’s March is calling on activists to stage banner drops. And here on Capitol Hill, it will be no surprise if crowds gather to make their opinions known in front of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, the fourth anniversary of Dobbs.
Faith & Liberty brings the Word of God to Capitol Hill, ministering to lawmakers and their staff through prayer and worship, Bible studies, fellowship, pastoral care, discipleship, and prophetic witness. Through your active support, Faith & Liberty is standing for faith, freedom, and the family in this 250th year of America’s founding. Would you prayerfully consider giving today to support this vital ministry? We appreciate your prayers and gifts to help the Faith & Liberty team thrive as your missionaries in our nation's capital.
Ahead of this week’s anniversary, Faith & Liberty attended two pro-life briefings on Capitol Hill: “Why Are There More Abortions After Dobbs? Gen Z and the Pro-Life Future” and the Moms.gov briefing. We discussed how the church can best serve these women, from providing emotional and financial support to meeting their needs in creative ways.
The National Faith Advisory Board will also hold a briefing to highlight the Dobbs anniversary and promote life.
We know that activists in the nation’s capital and in states across the country have been working to undermine the Dobbs ruling on life, The war is far from over, but we continue to thank the Lord for a critical battle won that ended nearly 50 years of abortion nationwide.
Most of all, we pray for a change of heart for women and men faced with a pregnancy when they are not open to receiving a child into their family. And we pray for lawmakers across the country to have the courage to stand for life. Here at Faith & Liberty, we support families in every way we can and applaud the Supreme Court Justices for their bravery to decide for life.
Thank you for standing with us as we serve on Capitol Hill!

You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!
This past Thursday at the Ministry Center, Faith & Liberty started a new women’s Bible study for congressional interns staying in Washington, D.C., this summer. We are learning about a Jewish woman whom God appointed to save her people from destruction “for such a time as this.” Yes, we are diving into the amazing Book of Esther!

Our Bible studies continue strong, including the Monday study on Philippians (pictured below). We were also a part of a special Saturday Bible study that brought many faith leaders together from around the country. We studied a passage in Mark’s Gospel.

Yesterday we participated in a national call for pastors hosted by Pastor Lorenzo Sewell of 180 Church in Detroit. Pastors were called upon to be part of a vision to help those in need and to work together with resources and education. Pastor Ron Luce of PROJECT 13 and Bishop Mark Brown were also key speakers on the call.
RSVP only: You are invited to an America 250 intercessory prayer time every Saturday at our Ministry Center. Would you like to pray for our nation with others who believe in the power of prayer? If so, please contact Patty Bills at 202-737-1776 for more information and join us!
