Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 16, 2026
Faith & Liberty is staying fully engaged on Capitol Hill. Along with our Bible studies at the Ministry Center, we are connecting via congressional outreach and setting up special monthly prayer times.
We continue our visits to congressional offices this week, offering information about our ministry and invitations to our activities, a blessing card with scripture, and the encouragement that we are praying for them. This is truly a season for interns in the congressional offices, so we have been reaching out, praying for them, and offering mentorship.
We are also coordinating with the House Chaplain’s Office to host a monthly prayer and fellowship time in the Cannon House Office Building. Members of Congress, staff, and visitors are invited to drop in for both spiritual and physical refreshment. This is also a great opportunity for those on Capitol Hill to get more acquainted with Faith & Liberty.
With these ongoing activities, we ask you to pray for divine appointments and spiritual fruit. We are encouraged by Paul’s admonition in Galatians 6:9.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Thank you, too, for your faithful prayers and financial support of the ministry of Faith & Liberty!
Your missionaries in Washington, D.C.,
The Faith & Liberty team
While many of you are the bedrock of Faith & Liberty because of your faithful prayers and financial support, others may wish to give today for the first time or give a gift beyond your regular donations. Thank you for considering the impactful ministry of Faith & Liberty in our nation’s capital. Please also ask the Lord if He would have you become one of our vitally important monthly contributors. Sign up for monthly giving on our website using the SUPPORT YOUR MISSIONARIES button below and select the option, “I would like to make this a recurring donation.” If you prefer to call, please ask for Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776, and she will gladly assist you. You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!
Last Tuesday, our team participated in two events on Capitol Hill, the Senate Chaplain's Bible Study and a Jerusalem Day Reception, which we attended on behalf of Liberty Counsel and Covenant Journey. Some high-profile members of Congress who are great supporters of Israel participated as we all celebrated Jerusalem as the united capital of the State of Israel.

Tuesday evening, we attended a private screening of the film Young Washington at the Trump Kennedy Center. The White House, in partnership with Angel Studios, held this VIP exclusive America 250 screening.

Last Wednesday, Faith & Liberty participated in the Supreme Court Review Committee Summit. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and former Sen. Jim DeMint were among those who spoke at the Summit.

Ahead of this month’s anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, we joined two pro-life briefings on Capitol Hill: “Why Are There More Abortions After Dobbs? Gen Z and the Pro-Life Future” and the Moms.gov briefing. We discussed how the church can serve these women, from providing emotional and financial support to filling the gap with creative ways to meet their needs. For instance, one church recently held a car maintenance day so moms could have a reliable vehicle.

Our Bible studies at the Ministry Center and in other locations continue strong. We are thankful for the commitment of interns and others who attend and prioritize the Word of God and fellowship with other believers!

RSVP only: You are invited to an America 250 intercessory prayer time every Saturday at our Ministry Center. Would you like to pray for our nation with others who believe in the power of prayer? If so, please contact Patty Bills at 202-737-1776 for more information and join us! This event is RSVP only.
COMING SOON
Faith & Liberty will co-host the first Gen Z Rooftop Prayer Encounter in July. Twenty students are coming to Washington, D.C., for several days and will participate in this event. They will also visit congressional offices and meet key leaders. We’ll share more later!
Mat Staver, chairman of Faith & Liberty, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, and founder of Covenant Journey, will be the fifth and final speaker in the “Why Israel Lunch and Learn Series.” Mat will speak on “The Two-State ‘Solution?’” — a vital subject that directly impacts peace efforts in the Middle East.
As mentioned above, Faith & Liberty is hosting a monthly prayer and fellowship time. We look forward to this special fellowship!
