A Prayer for Our Nation

We believe our nation is facing a critical moment in its history that requires a national prayer response.

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in humility to pray for America and for President Donald Trump. There are dark, ominous clouds gathered over our country and we need Your help!

Your Word declares: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

That’s why I’ve joined with others across America to pray for our nation!

The U.S. House of Representatives moved forward with the impeachment of President Trump, and we are now in the trial phase. We need Your wisdom and power during this bitterly divisive season.

We have fundamental concerns about the fairness of this process and its potential to further divide this nation.

If legislators in the House were actually guilty of the very thing they accuse President Trump of doing, that is not justice.

If this whole thing is nothing more than a political game from those who have opposed President Trump since his election, that is not justice!

If instead of an open and transparent process Congress closed the doors and conducted secret hearings while leaking out only negative bits and pieces of information that suited their narrative, that is not justice!

If, with great divisiveness already infecting the nation, this impeachment process is a sham where the result to impeach the President was fixed from the beginning, that is not justice!

We know that injustice loves darkness and secrecy. As Your Word declares: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." John 3:19

We therefore pray You will shine the light of TRUTH into this impeachment darkness!

We pray you will expose the lies of those whose agenda from the beginning was to impeach President Trump.

We pray that during the impeachment inquiry, what is right, just and true will prevail.

Finally, we pray for our president and the great burden he bears of striving to lead us during this difficult time in our nation. Let him find strength in You and draw close to You as his Rock and Comfort.

And, we pray that in all of this, Your name will be glorified and Your Kingdom will be advanced!

We ask all of this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
